Hao Liu (Leo) is a visual designer and creative technologist based in London and Hangzhou. He has an interdisciplinary background in art and computer science. He completed his BA in Visual Communication Design and earned an MSc from the Creative Computing Institute at the University of the Arts London. His work focuses on human–computer interaction, computational creativity, and cross-media art.
His practice spans visual design, interactive installations, robotic art, and digital media, with a research focus on embodied interaction, human–computer interaction, and spatial experience design. He is especially interested in how technology shapes bodily perception, spatial storytelling, and artistic expression.
His work has received several international and national awards, including the MUSE Design Awards, IDA Design Awards, DNA Paris Design Awards, and C-IDEA Design Award. His projects have also been exhibited at the Peru Bienal 2024 and the Arts in Robotics Exhibition at IEEE ICRA 2026.
