CV # IP Character Design
Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture Panda IP & Product Design
Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture possesses a rich and diverse cultural ecology shaped by the deep integration of Tibetan and Qiang cultures with the plateau’s natural landscapes. Centered on the highly recognizable cultural symbol of the Aba Panda, this project develops a series of IP character designs that translate regional culture into an approachable and contemporary visual system.
The IP system takes the panda as the core character and extends into multiple panda personas inspired by the distinct cultural identities of Aba’s thirteen counties and cities. Each character integrates local elements through costume, accessories, color schemes, and symbolic motifs drawn from traditional ethnic attire, regional festivals, and natural landscapes. While maintaining a coherent overall visual style, the design highlights cultural diversity and regional uniqueness across the prefecture. The visual language adopts a friendly and lively cartoon aesthetic, combined with Tibetan and Qiang decorative patterns and modern design approaches, resulting in an IP system that balances cultural depth with effective public communication.
Through systematic IP planning and application-oriented design, the project supports Aba’s cultural tourism branding and provides a strong visual foundation for cultural products, tourism merchandise, and multi-scenario commercial applications. It contributes to the modernization, youth-oriented communication, and sustainable development of Aba’s cultural and tourism brand.
